Video-SL 1.1 1.9/1.1 beta - whats normal PC CPU usage?

I'm thinking about getting Video-SL but I tried the 1.9 beta + 1.1 demo beta, and found that my total CPU usage hovers around 90% while playing 2 videos at the same time. Single video runs about 40%. Most of the time I'd be running a single video, except during cue and transitions, but here's my system specs, and I'm wondering what's considered "normal" for a PC running VSL.

Compaq Presario Pentium Dual T3400 @ 2.16ghz
3GB DDR2 RAM
250GB HD
Vista Home Basic 32-bit

Video was running off the internal hard drive, not external USB.

that sound just about right , i'm running everything of an extenal hard drive not USB
but eSATA connection which is 5times faster than USB ,,, 480mbps versus 3000mbps ,,,,
an it works beatiful,,,,,,,,,,,,,, yes sir :)

mine runs between 50s and 70s, occasionally jumping to higher usage.....like 80s and up...yea, still not satisfied cuz that still makes me nervous if it gets too close to 100.

my latest report as a last night 5hrs gig full blown with sampler and video going no problems at all ,,,, also skinny check how much stuff you got running on the background
i turn alot stuff off that i didnt need when boot up my laptop that will give you more cpu usage ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and thats my lesson for the day.
