As Serato Studio doesn't have the option of saving samples in the project folder like other DAWs, I'm moving to a new computer and want to know the best way I can migrate as the file location will be lost?
I really hope they will have this save option in the future!

Hi Power Compector
In the File drop down menu you can select Save Project with Samples which will create a zipped file which includes the Studio project and the samples.
Cheers

Thanks Sala but that's for exporting, you can't open that zip back up in Serato.

You can open up that zip folder. Once its extracted you can open the .ssp files which contains all the samples from the project

Yes but I don't fancy doing that for all my songs, that will take ages.
They just need to have a save samples WITHIN the actual project folder and not just a zip for exporting.

@Power Compector did you ever find a solution? I'm in that same boat right now and I have hella songs that I do not want to save as a zip file and reopen.

No, didn't find a real solution. I exported all songs as zips, and loaded each track, then find all the samples, then save each track again. It was painful. I really hope they add this feature in a future release.
What I do now is finish all my tracks in Ableton, as I know the samples will be saved in each song folder.

dude you literally just save project with samples, move it to new computer unzip folder open project and there it is, takes no time at all.

Not when you have 100+ tracks. It's painfully slow. It's logical to have the option to save the samples WITHIN the project folder. There shouldn't be any debate about that when most other DAWs have this option.
