Key Sync in Serato Studio

Hi All,

I am wondering if in Serato Studio you can activate Key Sync in the same way you can in Serato Dj Pro,

In Serato Dj if you activate Key sync then it automatically synchronizes the other track in key,

It would be awesome if there was a way to do this in Serato Studio, so that when you audition a file it would play in key with the song you are creating,

Is this possible in Serato Studio?

Hey Pjbridger,

You can achieve this by loading the sample to a Sample Deck, and by default this will Key Sync to your project key. You can turn off Key Sync in the deck header bar if you want to independently key shift this to something different.

Is this what you are referring to?

Hi Logan, thanks for the reply,

Yes, I know that it syncs to key WHEN you load it,

But i was hoping you would be able audition samples before you load them) in the key of your project,

This would be really useful for finding fitting samples, instead of having to load them before they key sync,

do you get what i mean?

That makes sense! Being able to preview samples in the project’s key before loading them would definitely make workflow smoother. Maybe the developers could add a real-time key sync option for auditioning?

Ah yes i see what you're saying now - thanks for clarifying.
Being able to audition samples from your library in key (and BPM for that matter) with your project would be super useful. I will pass this request on to the team for you.
