Serato Studio Vs FL Studio? Which is the best Daw of 2026?

I’ve been using both Serato Studio and FL Studio for a while now, and I’m curious what everyone thinks as we head into 2026.

Serato Studio has come a long way recently — especially with its workflow improvements for DJs and sample-based producers. It’s super fast for beat-making and integrates perfectly with Serato DJ. But on the other hand, FL Studio still dominates in terms of sound design, plugins, automation, and flexibility for full track production.

So, for 2026 — if you had to pick one DAW to stick with, which do you think is the better choice overall?

For beginners?

For professional producers?

For DJ-style beat making vs full song production?

Would love to hear your opinions, especially from those who switched between the two recently.

I like the flow in Studio, you can crank out a beat in a very short time.

It's still the same. FL Studio for beginners, professionals and full song production. The ONLY reason why I would say FL Studio for "beginners" is because of the 1,000's of YouTube tutorials out there. I would tell cats to try Serato Studio if FL Studio looked too intimidating or if they want to work more with Samples and audio files. I have

The thing I LOVE about Studio is that it's workflow is so SIMPLE that it stops me from TINKERING and experimenting too much. I'm definitely not a "Sound Design" guy but I find myself doing a lil too much sometimes. FL Studio is so advanced now that I start experimenting like I'm messing with Ableton Live. lol Serato is making me FINALLY run through my 4TB SSD of audio files and samples. I've only been using the drum loops this last year. Everything else has been VSTs. I've had Studio since 2023 but I just got back into it because I saw Slab. Studio needs a few more updates and It'll be perfect. Just a few updates. It needs to keep it's simple workflow. That's what makes it dope.
