Hello,
I'm just learning to dj, and as such watch some videos online to learn. I have seen other software have the ability to start a loop, and then assign that to a hot cue.
So if you go to the hot cue the loop is activated. This makes custom mix in points efficient and easy.
Serato's workflow with this is to change page to the loops and activate it, then change page back to hot cue. Without keyboard shortcuts/ stream deck, you have to use a mouse making it cumbersome, and opens the potential for a misclick (especially with trackpads).
I think being able to assign your saved loops to a Hot Cue button is essential, and extremely useful. I also think it would be essential to have settings incorporating the control of this feature. Such as:
》Hot Cue looping activated (feature is available/ legacy mode)
》Hot Cue Loop settings drop down (Always active on selection/ Active on track load/ Default off only active if loop is manually turned on)
One issue I've had while playing with loops and hot cues, is it's difficult to hot cue jump - activate a loop, and ensure they are on the down beat, even with Quantization on. It would be nice if there was a timeout, so you can jump to a beat and turn on loop, so that the loop is in time.
I suppose you can manually edit the in point and out point; I should practice that more I suppose.
Thank you for your time.
