Bring back Protect Library and Search Reduce Options

Sience the Ver. 4 Beta, we noticed the gone Protect Library and Search Reduce Options.
This are essential options for usual workflow of many users.
In my humble opinion, this is a shame, to delete options that is a standard in every DJ-Software.

I agree! The library protect feature is a safeguard that brings a lot of peace of mind to DJ’s. I’m truly confused on why they remove such a feature.

In my humble opinion, my workflow with Library Protect and Auto Import was removed in 4.0.0 replaced by newer features, I’m not sure I understand the backend logic of removing a such a feature. Is it software architecture? Is Library Protect allowing the newer features like right-click and 4.0 features to exist? If so, I would much rather lose all the new features presented in 4.0 just to bring back the safeguards of 3.3.5. The searching on 4.0 creates a bit of loading lag compared to 3.3.5.

I spoke with Ray B. over email, it is safe to downgrade to 3.3.5. In the meantime, I’m sticking with this version until the Tahoe update and Library Protect feature comes back.

In addition, I’m highly considering switching to DJay Pro because of the sole fact that Serato Crates are integrated and it allows you to select more than one streaming service. It’s nice that we can have a mixed playlist full of download and streaming tracks. But, such a feature and the rest of 4.0 doesn’t convince me that it isn’t truly worthy of the 4.0 rebrand.
