DJ KS1 2:11 AM - 22 November, 2025
I’m going to catch hell for this, but anyway I downloaded Tahoe onto my Mac and now I’m unable to record my mixes. I might answer my own question here but downloading Tahoe cause this to happen?

what is your Mac specs?

That's a strong possibilty dude. I refrained from downloading the new iOS because they said it wasn't supported just yet. However you can try downgrading to the previous iOS and see if you're able to record again.

Im pretty sure that's the reason. There are a couple things that I see affected, mostly if you stream but recording mixes was one of them.

Anyone can tell me how to downgrade to macOS Sequoia from Tahoe?
Raffy G 8:03 AM - 6 December, 2025
If you have a Time Machine backup before upgrading than it's possible. If you don't than I ma sorry to say you need to do a fresh install of the macOS Sequoia than install manually all your apps again.

On the other hand if a back of your previous setup is available prior to upgrading. Its simply installing Sequoia and using Apple's own Migration Assistant importing your original installation.

Always advisable to have a back up of your previous installation on hand. Backing up is a priority in any format both Mac and PC.

Time Machine wont work for backwards OS installs. It’s manual only and it’s not easy, at least it’s very easy to get it wrong.

You have to backup and save all your media manually, music, videos, photos, documents etc.

Then you have to create a bootable USB drive (you can find instructions online) which you then have to use to do a clean install, at which point you then manually add all your media back to the computer.

Don’t try it unless you are confident and have contingency if you mess it up.

I had Time Machine backups for the last 5 years that wouldn't work. You need to do it manually so save as many files as you can on a simple external drive.

Serato was working fine on macOS 26 for me but I had major audio dropouts while recording with Logic Pro and Audacity on both my Motu M4 and Scarlett 4i4 so I went back to macOS 15 doing a clean install.

Time machine always works, guess you must have been doing something wrong! And your issue already sounds like something totally not related to this topic and really not the place to discuss.

Bust sure if you sa it didn't work for you and you needed to downgrade is perfectly fine. As long as it works out at the end. by the way just for reference Motu M4 and Scarlett4i4 are very notorious about drop outs. Motu drivers are unstable. Scarlett cannot handle low buffer settings. Just from experience :)
