Hey there did anyone use the new version extensively this week yet? any crashes?

thank you in advance!

That depends on many factors.

For me it's been stable with Rane Four and both my Mac M1 Pro and M4 Air. Even before it was released. Just not happy with the little graphic glitches with delayed screen refresh when it comes to searching tracks. But other than that I think it's been pretty stable so far. But like I said it depends on your setup.

So far everything looks good, however I'm still putting it through the motion.

By the way, I upgraded to Tahoe before upgrading to 4.0.1. This is also running smoothly.

No problem here, I run it for 4 hours with no issues here.

You're not the only one missing it. The Browse button was removed in 4.0, and there’s no real replacement for it at the moment. I relied on it a lot to filter my library by genre, so its absence definitely slows things down. Hopefully Serato brings it back — it was a genuinely useful part of the workflow.

Just to add to the discussion — besides the removal of the Browse button, it feels like the Serato GUI hasn’t been fully adapted to the new “glass” window style in the Tahoe theme. When Serato is in fullscreen mode, you can clearly see thin lines around the interface, something that didn’t happen with Sequoia.

Because of all this, I ended up rolling back to the Sequoia and downgraded to Serato DJ Pro 3.3.5. Until these issues are ironed out, the previous setup still works better for me.

NOT SOLID AT ALL
Despo 3:22 PM - 19 December, 2025
Yeah that's my takeaway from all this too. Stay on 3.5.5 & Seqouia, stay safe.
Raffy G 5:45 PM - 19 December, 2025
For me ts been very very solid. As I said before. It all depends on how each Dj has its setup! If you feel it is not ready yet stay with the version that works for you. Just my opinion!
Despo 8:24 PM - 19 December, 2025
Yeah it's solid for me in terms of it doesn't crash but I don't like it's quirks and it's slower than 3.5.5 facts
DjSyndic8 1:46 AM - 20 December, 2025
I'm staying on Sequoia, with all the issues with Tahoe,

leave it alone, if it aint broke then dont fix it.
DJ STU-C 10:35 AM - 20 December, 2025
If I can be arsed I’m considering downgrading.
internetdarwin 12:24 AM - 5 January, 2026
Not solid, major issues on Windows (for me at least), downgrading back to 3.
DJ Ray Boston 5:41 PM - 5 January, 2026
it just crashed on me after 30 minutes, no idea why, immediate uninstall for me.
running win11 9thGen i7 16GB ram nvidia 1660ti, it's a solid Dell G3 Gaming laptop, never had an issue since i got it 3 years ago.

Haven't had an 'application stopped responding' crash with serato in probably 10 years. Im not going to trust it. I skipped over 4.0 so i'll give that a try.
