Serato 4.0/4.1 DDJ Rev-7 Random Hardware Disconnection Issues

HI All,

Been playing and testing Serato 4.0/4.1 on my S11 mixer and has been fantastic no issues

two weeks in a row when playing gigs with my DDJ Rev-7 approximately 90mins/2hrs in my hardware randomly disconnects multiple times from Serato with a DDJ REV-7 Hardware/midi Failed to connect error(need to capture exact error), it also appears like the Rev 7 power cycles the hardware.

I have to reopen Serato to recognise the hardware and get it to get up and running again but alas it re-crashes with same issue later on .

In all cases I've continued the night on the latest version of Serato 3.3.5 (no issues at all) same set up

Using A Mac M1 Max Sequoia 15.1.1 with 32MB Ram

I've changed usb cables/usb ports on the Rev (same Issue)

I run the Rev 7 through a usb adapter hub with other device e.g usb hard drives

I will be investing in a dedicated USB C - B cable and plugging directly into the laptop

I have never had the issue with previous versions of Serato prior to 4.x even when running through a hub so don't know if this is a driver/firmware bug

my other frustration is not having the option to uncheck backup when closing Serato, delaying me restarting the program asap

any one else experience something similar anything or aware of any known issues , I really like the library features of 4 but can't risk the instability, when this issue occurs. I'm sticking to 3.5.5 for the moment

Thanks In Advance

Hello

For me it's a rule never to connect my main mixer or controller to a HUB...always will have an issue. Best thing is connect straight to the Mac. To many variables here to blame Serato. I suggest connect it straight to you Mac and than if you have the same issues than open a support ticket with Serato.

If you wish to continue with your existing setup just use you older version.

In my humble opinion.

Ever since I’ve downloaded 4.0 /. 4.1 I’ve been crashing. Also went back to old version. Using s11 and rev 7

Has Pioneer released new drivers? I think they are still not supported!

Sadly its mostly Pioneer/AlphaTheta products seem to be having these issues!
