Serato isn't saving my crates and constantly loses links to music files. Half of my Serato library are missing, duplicate tracks in red font. This isn't a new problem. It happens so often I've started taking photos of my crates when I've worked on them so I can rebuild the playlist order next time I open Serato. It seems to be after I quit Serato, it often doesn't remember my last session, or it decides to save a crate to a different Serato folder, so I don't have a source of truth. This was inconvenient until it recently became a major problem when I discovered, 10 minutes before a live show, the crate I'd prepared was gone! This should absolutely never happen with DJ software. I raised a support ticket and eventually got a response but was told "this is expected behavior."
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I use an SDD drive as my primary music storage, which is backed up to another SDD drive. This means I have 3 Serato folders: one on my laptop and two on SDD drives. I think the problem stems from Serato randomly switching between these folders. One session it decides to save to one location then a different location during another sessions.
