Ok but why didn't the developers continue developing the Remote app? Virtual DJ has Remote so why doesn't Serato care about it, people used Serato Remote, as I write that I want to stay on Serato DJ I hope Serato will recover and restore the Remote app.

Nobody was using it.

I know two friends who used it and I'm not the only one who would like it back.

The juice has to be worth the squeeze. Not enough people use it overall to justify spending the money maintaining it.

Come on remote was a really good concept and I also know several DJs that used it on tablets.

If serato updated the app more people would have used it and I'm tired of serato axing hardware and features people actually like

I miss it too. I was one of the few using it regularly.

I ended up creating a SP1 “mock” midi controller with Lemur on my iPad, since I already used that for controlling MIDI in MixEmergency.

A true iPad SP1 would be epic.

Serato has lots of user data showing what we all use. Yeah it stinks if there's a handful of you that love a single feature but it makes zero biz sense to cater to that.

I used it as well - it came in handy for firing samples from the iPad during a stream.

I use a Reloop Neon now, but I preferred just using something I had already paid for.

That's weird - i was just thinking about Serato Remote this morning.

One thing they could have done to make it more popular and increase the user base was make it BOTH a iPhone and a iPad app for ONE price.

I bought it for iPhone but i have a couple of obsolete iPads around here that would have been cool to run just for Serato remote but not worth sinking another $20 for ANOTHER version

One could use the iPad for requests and notes at gigs in addition to Serato remote.

Wonder since it is pretty much abandoned could they open it up for both devices?

Things like Remote and Video for PC should just be open source since they don't have the resources in-house to keep them working anymore

Serato probably waits for Apple to merge OSs so you can run Sdj, studio and so over an iPad.

Investing in Tablet app meanwhile their users just want the full fledge over a laptop and dismissed any tablet alternative over years until Djay Pro get Timecode (but DjPlayer had it since more than a decade) it’s what they call “metrics”.

Stop asking for things you will not use (as userbase). It’s like asking for a new Numark Dashboard. Nobody use these aside NS7IV users.

iPad users barely use Serato and never done it too much when Remote was available. Nowadays they will use Djay and left the mac at home and Serato knows it and will not try to fight that path until my first sentence becomes a reality.
