SLOW LOADING TIME OF MUSIC LIBRARY TO DJ PRO & LITE 4.0.1

HI, I HAVE A 2025 M4 MACBOOK PRO WITH OS SEQUOIA 15.7.1 AND SERATO DJ PRO AND DJ PRO LITE 4.0.1.

I'VE VERIFIED THE PERMISIONS AND ACCESS OF TE FILES & FOLDERS, FULL DISK ACCESS AND MEDIA & APPLE MUSIC SETTINGS IN THE PRIVACY & SECURITY SECTION. BOTH SERATO DJ PRO AND LITE HAVE ALL APROPIATE ACCESS.

MY SITUATION IS THAT WHEN I OPEN BOTH SERATO DJ PRO AND LITE THE LOADING TIME OF THE MUSIC/ITUNES LIBRARY TAKES OVER AN HOUR. BUT WHEN I USE SERATO DJ PRO 3.3.5 IN LOADS IN APROX 1 MINUTE.

I WANT TO KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. THANK YOU

Why are you opening 2 instances of Serato at the same time?

I don’t think he’s saying he’s opening both simultaneously…I think he’s saying when he opens each app, version 4.xx is slow.

DJ STU-C I'm not opening both apps at the sometime. DJ Remix Detroit is correct. 4.xx exceeds slow....it crawls

Ok that makes more sense. I’d suggest raising a support ticket directly as that definitely isn’t right.

I don’t know if there are steps to go through with the new library (like analysing again).

are you using an external hard drive or internal harddrive for your Serato Music?

also are you using SSD Drives or RPM Drives?

explain how your hard drives are setup?


I used to use RPM Drives and it takes for ever to analyze and do things with Serato now all my external drives are SSD's and Serato runs so fast.

what do u mean by; "explain how your hard drives are setup?"
this external drive only has my music

The issue started when i upgraded to Serato dj pro 4, with 3.3.5 the load was aprox little more than a minute
i may consider buying an SSD, thanks 4 your input

good call, After I changed all my drives I noticed things were much faster on serato,

also side note, its much cheaper if you buy a SSD internal drive, than buy an enclosure and put them together,

way cheaper than buying a ssd thats already in an enclosure.

2TB internal ssds are cheap these days.
