I am somewhat shocked to see this 4.x update is totally unusable in my case.
My existing setup is a Windows 10 Pro 64bit PC with 64 GB of ram, this has been my primary Serato workstation of many years, I had no issues with 3.x When moving to 4.x, I have noticed that after about 10 minutes, Serato consumes ALL AVAILABLE RAM. Not just a lot, but literally 99% of it taking 30-40 GB of RAM for itself and eventually causing stuttering and of Serato stalling as the RAM maxes out and begins to page to disk.
I have tried to pinpoint any kind of behavior to cause this, but so far I haven't gotten very far. I have completely removed 4.x and re-installed, same issue. I have downgraded to 3.x and the issue does not exist on that version (so at least I can fall back there for now.)
On 4.0.1, if I just open Serato to a blank session (my Serato library is on an external drive and not plugged in) and let it sit there, it will not accumulate a lot. Plugging in the external drive and having Serato load my old crates starts consuming memory at an alarming upward trend. Then, loading and unloading tracks seems to significantly accelerate the rate of memory being used.
My question is: Has anyone experienced this or similar behavior, and is there anything I can do to help alleviate the issue so I can use my main rig with Serato 4.x for live performances?

there is a lil app called wise memory optimiser a lil tool that can free up ram when it has been used, try this app and see if the issue is resolved, the other is dual booting win10 Lite, this is a version of windows that has been debloated, Win10 Lite runs a lighter version of windows.

Thanks for the feedback. I will look into it to see if it helps. My issue however is that no matter how much RAM I free up (I have a lot free normally), Serato will take up all of it and then start to stutter and crash. Is it normal for Serato to use 30+ GB of RAM?

Sounds like you might have another app running thats killing your memory. Suggest you open task manager and keep an eye out on any resource hogs while you DJ.

The "other app" is Serato DJ Pro itself. When I open task manager, Serato DJ Pro is consuming 99% of memory, sometimes in excess of 30-40 GB after 10 minutes.

And here it is after sitting about 20 minutes, totally consuming all memory and the UI is not usable anymore: imgur.com

I also noticed that 4.0.1 seems to run really well when I first start playing. I did a 2 hour mix yesterday and by the end of the mix, the waveforms were stuttering and jumping all over the place. restart serato and it is fine to start again. Does seem like a memory leak issue. I was using serato video and recording, and it was using around 60gb of my 96gb of ram. WAY more than 3.xx ever did. Running Windows 11
