I'm thinking of getting one to mess around with, but not sure which one to get.

Any help or ideas on which to get?

Also do they play video?

N4 can do video on virtual dj for sure

Hi RAMPING,

Video-SL is only for use with Scratch Live, and in terms of the choice between the two, it's all about personal preference so if you can locate a store that will have them both, have a play around. It all depends on what you're looking for specs-wise :-)

If you have a Rane interface I'd go with the Mixdeck Quad cause the crossfader is midi so you'd be able to use it with SSL and VSL.
